Start up Apache $ sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp startapache Now Apache does not start up at all anymore. Then, I spent some time trying to install a library, in which I somehow messed up the installation of XAMPP.

I had a local XAMPP stack running on my Macbook Pro fine for weeks (OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, XAMPP 5.5.24).
